Summary:The cross sections of elastically scattered 99 Mev protons have been measured absolutely to 3%. Detailed description of corrections applied to the cross sections are presented, including the measurement of the nuclear reactions in a NaI crystal due to protons incident at different energies. Work on the variables affecting a NaI counter resolution for high energy protons is also reported. The inelastic scattering differential cross sections from a number of levels in C12 and in A127 have also been determined. Spins and parities for some carbon levels are suggested from tne small angle behaviour of the scattering. [...]
