The lake breeze in relation to tobacco leaf fleck in southwestern Ontario.

The relationship between the meso-climate and tobacco leaf fleck is investigated by correlating wind, temperature and relative humidity records of six stations within the flecking area with the fleck index. Criteria for the recognition of the lake breeze are established and the correlations that exi...

It is concluded that the lake breeze correlates effectively with flecking when the lake breeze is accompanied by a southerly gradient wind.
