We investigate transport related issues that are unique to XTP, examine the behavior and performance of XTP/IP in a Linux kernel implementation (LinuxXTP), recommend several enhancements to the XTP Specification revision 4.0, and introduce Transport Traffic Services for XTP for the most common Internet traffic types.
