When delimiting it, it was intended to verify how the managers, teachers and students of a private school, in the city of Passo Fundo, RS, conceptualize, perceive, value and experience their role, as well as knowing how their interpersonal relationships are given, what their methodologies are and how their training took place. Therefore, a qualitative descriptive research was developed during the first semester of 2016. The subjects of the research were representatives of the managers, who answered a questionnaire, the students of the eighth grade class of Elementary School, who wrote a letter to the teachers who have marked their lives mostly; Finally, these teachers, recipients of student letters, answered a questionnaire and made a statement about the letters received. The basis of the study was presented in diferent categories as: the meaning of the word ?to educate?, the meaning of the expression ?Human Consciousness?, the role of the school and the teacher, the teacher`s person. Many authors were reviewed, among them: Dam?sio (1996, 2000), Delors (2012), Enricone (2009), Freire (1974, 1996, 2001), Maturana (1998, 2000, 2016), Morin (1999, 2000), Mosquere (1975, 1980, 2011), N?voa (1992, 2003), Palmer (2012), Piaget (1994), Wilber (1986, 2001, 2007) e Yus (1998). The first data of this survey were obtained throught questionnaires and were analysed by descriptive and interpretative means. The Bardin (2004) method was used to analyse the letters and testimonies. Once the main units of the study were identified, new categories were added as: the students`point-of-view of the teachers and their classes, the interaction among teachers, students and material used to teach, the special moments during the classes, the surprise and joy reading the letters, how the teachers evaluate themselves and how they act, and personal and professional background. The results of this study showed the aspects that students value in their teachers, such as the use of innovative and interdisciplinary methodologies, as well as the human qualities that these professionals reveal as: happiness, sense of humor, friendship, self-confidence, humility and empathy. In addition, it was possible to understand how strong the process of identification occurs between the teacher and his/her students, provided that the bonds formed between them are based on trust and love. With these findings, the need to raise teachers' awareness about the influence on their students was stressed and it can be done in spaces of reflection, sharing of experiences and exercise of self-knowledge in the course of their academic formation. === O presente estudo teve como objetivo compreender a influ?ncia da pessoa dos professores na na humaniza??o da Educa??o. Ao delimit?-lo, pretendeu-se verificar como os gestores, professores e estudantes de uma escola privada, do munic?pio de Passo Fundo, RS, eleita mediante question?rio, conceituam, percebem, valorizam e vivenciam o seu papel, bem como conhecer como se d?o suas rela??es interpessoais e como aconteceu sua forma??o pessoal e profissional. Para tanto, optou-se pelo desenvolvimento de uma pesquisa de car?ter qualitativo descritivo e interpretativo. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram cinco gestores, os quais responderam a um question?rio, dezessete estudantes da turma de oitavo ano do Ensino Fundamental, que escreveram uma carta aos professores que mais marcaram a sua vida; por fim, esses professores, em um total de seis, destinat?rios das cartas dos estudantes, responderam a um question?rio e fizeram um depoimento sobre as cartas recebidas. Os fundamentos buscados a priori foram apresentados em diferentes categorias, tais como os significados da palavra Educar e da express?o Consci?ncia Humana, o papel da escola e do professor e a pessoa do professor, e dentre os principais autores utilizados cabe destacar Dam?sio (1996, 2000), Delors (2012); Enricone (2009), Freire (1974, 1996, 2001), Maturana (1998, 2000, 1016), Morin (1999, 2000), Mosquera (1975, 1980, 2011), N?voa (1992, 2003) Palmer (2012), Piaget (1994), Wilber (1986, 2001, 2007) e Yus (1998). A an?lise dos primeiros dados da pesquisa que foram coletados por meio de question?rios foi realizada de forma descritiva e interpretativa e, para a an?lise das cartas e depoimentos, utilizou-se os pressupostos de Bardin (2004). A partir da identifica??o das unidades significativas formulou-se novas categorias de an?lise tais como: os professores e suas aulas na perspectiva dos estudantes, a intera??o entre professores, estudantes e conte?dos, os momentos marcantes nas aulas, a surpresa e emo??o com as cartas, como os professores se julgam ser e como agem, intera??o professor e estudante e forma??o pessoal e profissional. Os resultados desse estudo evidenciaram as caracter?sticas que os estudantes valorizam em seus professores, tais como: a utiliza??o de metodologias inovadoras e interdisciplinares, bem como as qualidades humanas que esses profissionais revelam como, entre elas: a alegria, o humor, a amizade, a confian?a e a empatia. Al?m disso, foi poss?vel compreender o qu?o forte ? o processo de identifica??o que ocorre entre o professor e os seus estudantes, desde que os v?nculos formados entre eles estejam baseados na confian?a e no amor. Diante desses achados, defende-se a necessidade de ampliar a consci?ncia dos pr?prios professores a respeito dessa influ?ncia sobre os seus estudantes, o que pode ser realizado em espa?os de reflex?o, compartilhamento de experi?ncias e exerc?cio de autoconhecimento no decorrer de sua forma??o acad?mica.
