Estuda as diferentes funções do produto para gerar inovação, como se desenvolvem as estratégias da empresa en referência ao projeto, e como as atividades de projeto na empresa geram vantagens competitivas. Analisa-se uma técnica de gestão de projeto do produto, como é a engenharia simultânea. === The following work considers the products project as an able element to put the companies on conditions adapted to face the current competitiveness levels. To achieve this goal in first term are defined determined functions that possess the products, that carrier innovation, for the aplication its use in any type or size of companies. In a following stage is understood the importance of the products project within the different strategies to the one which a company can adhere, presented as a detonator element and guide in which the strategy can be supported to reach their objective. Then its considered the activities that develops the company and as the products project can be transformed in one of those activity that is shown as generating of competitive advantages for the company. And as finish step is considered a technique of project management of products that define new relationships among the different necessary activities to adapt the company to the times of products development that today are used.
