Previous issue date: 2009-08-17 === This work is an ethnographic research with collectors women of Mangaba in the village of Ponta Negra in Natal - RN. This Women also known as Mangabeira's women reproduce a practice learned with their ancestors, collecting this fruit in the coastal tablelands forests and latter commercializing it in the local markets. This research uses the methodology of oral history and visual anthropology with presentation of collected images on board. It is intended to emphasize the botanical and environmental aspects of the Mangabeira plant, its ecosystem, territorial, economic and historical aspects of it, also the knowledge of this extractive practice of our immaterial culture. === O presente trabalho trata de uma pesquisa etnogr?fica realizada com mulheres coletoras de Mangaba da Vila de Ponta Negra em Natal - RN. As mulheres/mangabeiras reproduzem uma pr?tica aprendida com seus antepassados de coleta deste fruto nas matas de tabuleiros costeiros e o comercializam na capital potiguar. Utilizando as metodologias de hist?ria oral e da antropologia visual com a apresenta??o em pranchas das imagens coletadas. Pretende-se destacar os aspectos bot?nicos e ambientais da planta Mangabeira, o seu ecossistema, aspectos territoriais, econ?micos, hist?ricos e os saberes e fazeres desta pr?tica extrativista de nossa cultura imaterial.
