An exploratory and descriptive survey has been led and its sample has been made up of teachers who work in private college of a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In order to analyze the teachers` perception of the quality level of working life a questionnaire was used showing questions approaching the QWL factors and dimensions proposed by Walton`s model. The study starts describing the history and the evolution of the concept of QWL and later presents the several models suggested by scholars of the area. According to the research, the conclusion achieved was that management course teachers notice that their quality of working life has a higher level in teaching activities, but considering some of the factors and dimensions of the chosen model some of them are perceived in the way in both areas proposed for analysis. Based on the results, proposals of quality of working lf practices are suggested for those professionals, such as implementing strategies that will enhance the communication, career plan and implementing policies of full-time contracts, among others. === O objetivo geral deste trabalho consiste em avaliar a percep??o do n?vel de qualidade de vida no trabalho dos docentes do curso de administra??o que exercem suas atividades laborais em v?rias jornadas de trabalho e que, ao mesmo tempo, desempenham outros pap?is profissionais. Utilizou-se pesquisa explorat?ria e descritiva com amostra constitu?da por professores que atuam em institui??o de ensino superior particular, localizada no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Para avaliar a percep??o do n?vel de QVT destes docentes, utilizou-se question?rio apresentando quest?es que abordavam os fatores de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho propostos por Walton. O estudo iniciase descrevendo o hist?rico e evolu??o do conceito de QVT e, posteriormente, apresenta os v?rios modelos sugeridos por outros estudiosos. De acordo com a pesquisa, concluiu-se que estes docentes percebem que sua qualidade de vida no trabalho apresenta um n?vel mais elevado nas atividades de doc?ncia, mas que, considerando os fatores do modelo escolhido, alguns s?o percebidos da mesma forma em ambas as ?reas propostas para an?lise. Com base nos resultados, sugere-se propostas de implanta??o de pr?ticas de qualidade de vida no trabalho destes profissionais, como implementar estrat?gias que melhorem a comunica??o no curso, plano de carreira, pol?ticas de contrata??o integral, entre outras.
