dimension, the social conditions in that they were originated, the different motivations of
the involved agents and the processes of legitimacy, construction and visibility of these in
their society.
In this dissertation the different forms of politic organization of the artisanal fishers of a
Rio de Janeiro State region, Arraial do Cabo mostly, will be presented and historically
insert in a context and in the dynamic process of the social relationships, where categories
as "artisanal" fishers can be worked for the group s differentiation or identification
according specific contexts of disputes.
The forms and contents of the artisanal fishers organization s cannot be disassociated of
their varied interactions amongst themselves, and of these with the other constituent social
agents of their actions field, as the state regulators organisms for the fishing activity -
IBAMA and SEAP -, municipal public powers and fishing, petroleum and tourism
enterprises. === Para uma an?lise das organiza??es pol?ticas ? necess?rio reconhecer, al?m de suas
dimens?es institucionais, as condi??es sociais em que foram originadas, as diferentes
motiva??es dos agentes envolvidos e os processos de constru??o de legitimidade e
visibilidade destas na sociedade.
Nesta disserta??o ser?o apresentadas as diferentes formas de organiza??o dos pescadores
artesanais de uma regi?o do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, sobretudo de Arraial do Cabo,
contextualizando-as historicamente e no processo din?mico das rela??es sociais, onde
categorias como artesanal podem ser acionadas para a diferencia??o ou identifica??o de
grupos de acordo com contextos espec?ficos de disputas.
As formas e conte?dos das a??es das organiza??es pesqueiras artesanais n?o podem ser
desassociadas de suas variadas intera??es entre si, e destas com os demais agentes sociais
constitutivos de seu campo de atua??o, como os ?rg?os estatais reguladores do setor
pesqueiro IBAMA e SEAP -, poderes p?blicos municipais e as empresas de pesca, de
petr?leo e turismo.
