Description
Summary:The purpose of this investigation is the determination of the order of magnitude of the highest densities of space charge experimentally producible in the immediate vicinity of an insulating surface. The first section of the paper is a theoretical analysis of the problem while the second section describes some simple experiments undertaken in order to obtain the necessary data to get a numerical answer for some particular insulating surfaces.
