Electroweak Baryogenesis via Scalar Baryon Number Transport

The study of baryogenesis introduces a new datum in the study of physics beyond the Standard Model. Some physics relevant to baryogenesis is reviewed. Electroweak baryogenesis due to scalar particles (such as squarks) possessing baryon number is estimated and found to be considerable within a bro...

Some physics relevant to baryogenesis is reviewed. Electroweak baryogenesis due to scalar particles (such as squarks) possessing baryon number is estimated and found to be considerable within a broad and plausible range of parameter values. Transport properties of squarks in the electroweak plasma are found to support this conclusion. If baryonic scalars are discovered in physics beyond the Standard Model, these results will be useful in determining whether they are consistent with cosmological observations. 1998 Thesis NonPeerReviewed application/pdf en other https://thesis.library.caltech.edu/10360/1/Westphal_er_1998.pdf Westphal, Eric Rodney (1998) Electroweak Baryogenesis via Scalar Baryon Number Transport.
