Summary: | This creative project involved the planning, organizing and implementation of an art exhibition at the Ball State University Art Gallery from February 4 - 25, 1979. The specific theme chosen for the exhibition was TWENTIETH CENTURY AMERICAN ART FROM THE COLLECTIONS OF INDIANA UNIVERSITIES, and the institutions which participated were: Indiana State University, University of Notre Dame, Valparaiso University, Indiana University, and Ball State University.The exhibition itself addressed several significant issues including the sharing of art resources within the state of Indiana by university museums and galleries, increased exposure of students, faculty, staff and visitors to artistic contributions of twentieth century American artists and increased awareness to the contributions university museums and galleries have made in preserving cultural heritage. |
