Gradients in Wall Mechanics and Polysaccharides along Growing Inflorescence Stems

Gradients in growth rate and cell wall compliances resemble gradients in pectin properties, suggesting that high growth rate is enabled by hydrated, highly mobile pectins with weak cellulose interactions.
