Summary: | This study aims to identify the effect of workplace bullying on job performance among Immigration officer at Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia Negeri Johor. There are three objectives that were examined in this study, ie. to identify the level of bully, the level of performance and the effect of bully on job performance. The independent variable in this study is workplace bully, while the job performance were used as dependent variables. A total of 196 Immigration officers were chosen as respondents in this study. The data were collected by using a set of questionnaire which consists of three parts, namely part A (demography), part B (job performance) and C (workplace bully). The measurements used for data collection are Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) and Negative Act Questionnaire-Revised (NAQ-R). The data collected is then analyzed by using descriptive statistics (mean and percentage) and inferential statistics (linear regression). All data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 18.0. The findings reveal that the most frequently type of bully that occurred is work-related bully. However, the study found that a level of bullying is at the low level. In addition, there are significant effect of bullying at the workplace with job performance among Immigration officer. However, the findings show that Immigration officer do not face a serious problem of bullying in the workplace. At the end of this study, recommendations for future research are proposed.
