In addition to environmental conditions such as weathering, topography and vegetation inducing the slope failure, rainfall infiltration through soil has also shown significant effect on slope. Heavy rainfall apparently reduces soil shear strength in long term period by increasing pore water pressure and decreasing matric suction, results in increasing the stresses in soil that contribute to the slope failure. In this study, a failed slope in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is modeled by using a finite element commercial software, SEEP/W Version 5.0 (GEO-SLOPE International Ltd.) to simulate rainwater infiltration and transient pore water pressure distributions for generating seepage pattern in the slope. It is observed at any rainfall events, the ground water table rises at the toe of the slope but keeps constant at the crest of slope. The simulation analysis also shows that although the increase of pore water pressure is closely related to intensity and the frequency of rainfall, but it is not depended on the total of rainfall
