| Summary: | Interest from the community to enroll into Tahfiz studie s is one of the factor that lead to the annual increase of the number of Private Tahfiz Schools (STS) in Malaysia. Most of these STS are developed from various sources including private capital, student fees, community assistance such as charity and waqf. However, are these institutions able to sustain itself financially amid increasing management and development costs? This paper looks at the financial problems that STSs face, to propose a method that can be applied by certain bodies through the waqf method developed through ijarah, yielding positive results. This paper is a conceptual paper that uses the library data collection method. The results of this paper propose an alternative method in developing waqf through the ijarah method that was applied in the Seetee Aisah waqf land development project. Lastly, the implications of this paper may serve in the development and expansion of waqf to the State Religious Council (MAIN) and the sustainability of STSs in Malaysia. Permintaan tinggi daripada masyarakat untuk menceburi bidang pengajian Tahfiz menjadi faktor peningkatan jumlah Sekolah Tahfiz Swasta (STS) setiap tahun di Malaysia. Kebanyakan daripada STS ini dibangunkan daripada pelb agai akaf. sumber antaranya modal persendirian, yuran pelajar, bantuan masyarakat seperti sedekah dan w Isunya sejauhmana institusi ini dapat memastikan kelestariannya dari segi pembiayaan kos pembangunan dan pengurusan yang semakin meningkat setiap tahun. Artikel ini melihat permasalahan STS dari segi kewangan. Mencadangkan satu kaedah yang boleh dia p likasikan oleh badan tertentu menerusi kaedah wakaf yang dikembangkan melalui kaedah ijarah bagi mendapatkan hasil wakaf. Artikel ini merupakan kertas konseptual yang menggunakan kaedah kutipan data perpustakaan. Hasil artikel ini akan memaparkan satu cadangan alternatif dalam mengembangkan wakaf melalui kaedah ijarah yang telah diaplikasikan dalam projek pembangunan tanah wakaf Seetee Aisah. Implikasi artikel ini memberi cadangan idea pembangunan dan pengembangan wakaf kepada Majlis Agama Negeri (MAIN) dan kelestarian STS di Malaysia. |
