Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of collocations on the example of media texts. We analyzed phrases in Turkish, English, and Russian texts based on the frequency and semantic unity of the units. The relevance of the research is that we have done comparative work in unrelated languages. The significance of the article is confirmed by the results obtained. Often being nonquivalent relative to another language, collocations require special attention from translators. The applied task of the research is to identify patterns of collocation functioning in a certain language and cultural environment. The media's focus on texts is explained by the fact that they act as a mirror of a living language. We also tried to distinguish the term in English, Russian and Turkish linguistics.
