Summary:The review provides a general characteristic of a monograph prepared by several scholars of Tyumen University and its Brach in the city of Ishim as related to the discussion of a variety of urgent issues connected with the study of P. P. Yershov’s creative work. The researchers’ approach is focused on the central work of the Siberian poet, i. e. his poetic fairytale The Tiny Hunchbacked Horse but at the same time includes a number of important points made about Yershov’s personality as a writer as well as the role and place of his poetic legacy in the system of Russian literary classics.
