Summary:<p>This article analyzes the effects of meanings on gender issues at the conjunctures of the school curriculum proposals in the decades of 1990 and 2000. Considering the discourse as an effect of meaning, the misconception between political and theoretical discourse is understood as motivating the change of meanings on gender discursivity. The gender will not be understood as a theoretical concept, but as an event in history and discourse.</p>
