Cartas de mulheres : história social da cultura escrita de e/imigrantes portuguesas no Brasil (1896-1929)

By incorporating theoretical -methodological perspectives from Cultural History and from Social History of Written Culture, this investigation aims to interpret and discuss nineteen personal mails with signatures from female names, written in portuguese language by emigrants/immigrants, between 1896 to 1929, cataloged and classified by the Immigration Museum of São Paulo State (Brazil) as «call letters». For this, it was sought to understand what documents are these, who wrote them and why such missives were written, considering the historical context in which they were produced and their sociocultural functionality
