The poems belong to the anthology Poezz, edited by José Duarte and Ricardo António Alves and published in 2004. The title is an interesting example of a neologism, revealing the fusion between two genres and also the transformation into poetry of jazz culture. Fusion is a characteristic aspect of linguistic innovations in the first half of the 20th century, but also in the second half of the same century (from the 1960s).
