For the first time it was reviewed and analyzed how the problems of Ukrainistics, bibliology and publishing were highlighted on the pages of the most important authority of Ukrainian emigration in Europe, the journal «Nova Ukraina» (Prague, 1922-1928). It is a depiction of the historical and cultural reality that was concealed and banned in the Soviet Ukraine. There was a powerful campaign against Ukrainian printed word under proclaimed slogans of building the Ukrainian culture.
