To justifiably execute a vow, it is very much essential for the said individual to be a Muslim, man of reason, of age and independent dealings. While it is also obligatory that the thing or act for which the vow is made must be permissible in Islam, and should be for securing servitude to Allah. It is also a condition for the vow to be compulsory fulfilled by the concern individual. It is worth mentioning that Ma╖ ┐ rif of Nadhar are the same as that of Zak┐ t. It can’t be benefited by the vower or his kins.
