Summary:Rapid Rural Apraisal (RRA) is a strong method for rural area investigation. Continuosly developing and spreading, this method has been commonly used in as much as it is relatively low-cost, multidisciplinary and participatory. In this research, RRA method is explained briefly and applied in the case of Alpağut Village, Bolu. Results indicate that the village can be developed through livestock raising and recreation-tourism. The paper is concluded with relevant suggestions.
