| Summary: | This study will aim at estimating the static gains of economic integration within MERCOSUR, through the study of creation and trade diversion observed in Brazil with regional integration (bloc) compared with the losses and gains with the rest of the world. The hope is to contribute to the debate about what strategy and predominantly beneficial for the countries: the opening multilateral or regional integration from the point of increasing economic welfare considering the change in the value of tariffs in the year prior to signing the treaty that rise to the MERCOSUR (1993), to the present stage of integration (2009) for various industrial sectors. |
