Pyroptosis was first found in infectious diseases, but later found in the nervous system and cardiovascular system. Recent studies have also found that pyroptosis exists in tumors. It has become one of the hot research topics to explore its role in tumors. At present, studies have proposed that anti-cancer drugs, Chinese medicine monomers and so on can induce the pyroptosis of cancer cells.
