Gradually, some writers became conscious of the vital necessity for the country to embrace its history, and started to examine their ottoman past.In Devlet Ana (1967) and in Osmancık (1983), Kemal Tahir and Tarık Buğra took as a subject the beginning of the foundation of a State by the tribes of Turkmen in the 13th and 14th centuries.
