Description
Summary:The main purpose of this paper is to contribute to the analysis of the intellectual-political dimension of the educational field in Latin America and the Caribbean in the period between 1981 and 1992. From the study of political and pedagogical ideas the article explores the contents, concepts, issues and problems that characterize the discursive production of international organizations as established segments of the intellectual field of education. The article presents a comparative and contrastive analysis of the basic productions for Latin American and the Caribbean carried out by two international organizations: the UNESCO Project, "Main Educational Project for Latin America and the Caribbean" (1981-1989) and the UNESCO/CEPAL Document, "Education and Knowledge: axes change with equity", 1992.
