The article was preparing by using the documents of the Russian state historical archive, the state archive of the Krasnodar region and the archival Department of Sochi administration. The authors show that in the first half of the 1840s years the Ubykh princes and the russian administration have taken the effective steps to appease the region. As a result, some of the Ubykh princes became the officers of the Russian Imperial army. However, the total peace has not happened.
