Analytical overview of approaches to control of quality of detection and tracking of targets in security systems with active sensors has been performed. Based on the analysis performed and currently applicable requirements the approach has been proposed to criteria-based evaluation of quality, which makes it possible to take a decision on whether or not the evaluated algorithm meets the applicable requirements. This approach assumes the use of a set of test data, and on the basis of the results of processing of such data the implementation of the targets detection and tracking algorithm shall be evaluated. Such evaluation includes calculation of the values of the problem-targeted quality measures. In the process of obtaining common values and standardization, the values of quality measures shall pass to the ratings of these measures.
