This study aims to analyze the professional profile of UFSC business administration major of who were supposed to graduate in 2013/2, 2014/1 and 2014/2. These profiles will comprehend their carrier aspirations, the ir managements skills and how they are inserted in their carrier field. Additionally, these data will be used to analyze the social function of the university, thinking the way to improve the courses syllabus to prepare better the student to graduate degre e. Data were collected through questionnaires and were analyzed using statistical tests, using non - probability sampling, reaching 74% of the studied population. The results indicate that the majority of surveyed students (78%) is already in the job market. Most of these students earn within one and two minimum wages. It was found that the majority of respondents want to continue their studies at graduate degree. This study also shows significant correlations between “shift” and “professional ties” to the ve rification of differences in average pay by gender.http://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=319345197004careerbusiness a dministrationuniversitylabor m arket
