Objectives: To evaluate sensitive and motor deficits in patients with spinal cord injuries in an emergency hospital. Methods: We have performed a cross-sectional study in 14 patients with spinal cord injury that were admitted to a hospital. We assessed the tactile, thermic, painful, kinesthetic and proprioceptive sensations as well as mobility and tone measured by the ASIA Frenkel and scales. Results: Statistical significance was observed for the variables: tactile, thermic, painful, kinesthetic and proprioceptive sensations and upper limb tone. The disability levels measured by the frenkel were classified as B and the ASIA score was 128 (± 40.1) points. Conclusion: The normal levels of participants presented motor and sensibility for the upper limbs, but not for the lower limbs.http://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=92917188010
