| Summary: | Abstract : This research aimed to know the role of education and the characteristics of SMEs on the contributions to the economy. The research type is descriptive, used secondary data. Research result shown that education of SMEs relatively low. From 150 respondent of SMEs, 73 % were Junior High School gradution, or above it. While bachelor/diploma, 26 %, and 0,67 or 1 people was magister gradution. Lack of education has become a decisive factor low value added to national economic development.
Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peranan pendidikan dan karakteristik pelaku UMKM terhadap kontribusinya terhadap perekonomian. Jenis penelitian bersifat deskriptif, menggunakan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan (formal) pelaku UMKM relatif rendah. Dari 150 responden pelaku UKM, 73 persennya berpendidikan SLTA, dan atau lebih rendah. Sedangkan Sarjana/Diploma, 26 persen, dan 0,67 atau 1 orang berpendidikan Magister. Rendahnya pendidikan ini telah menjadi faktor penentu rendahnya nilai tambah untuk pembangunan ekonomi nasional. |
