THE ECONOMY OF PERNAMBUCO IN THE PERIOD 1850-1900: AN INTERPRETATION.
The article analyzes the economy of the period from 1850 to 1900 as a depressive phase in relation to the growth of the regional product, due to the lack of confidence of local and foreign investors shaken by innumerable internal revolts in the Province.
