Summary: | Objective: To explore the effect of tubeless percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) treatment
of upper ureteral calculi on serum cytokines, stress hormones and oxidative stress indexes.
Methods: A total of 118 patients with upper ureteral calculi who were treated in our hospital
between May 2014 and May 2016 were divided into the tubeless group (n=59) who received
tubeless percutaneous nephrolithotomy and the tube-indwelling group (n=59) who received
nephrostomy tube-indwelling percutaneous nephrolithotomy according to the random number
table. The surgical success rate and stone residual rate of the two groups of patients were
evaluated, and serum levels of inflammatory factors, stress hormones and oxidation/antioxidation
indexes were determined. Results: Differences in surgical success rate and stone
residual rate were not statistically significant between two groups of patients. 24 h after
operation, serum inflammatory factors PCT, CRP, IL-1β and IL-6 levels of tubeless group
were lower than those of tube-indwelling group, serum stress hormone Cor and NE levels were
lower than those of tube-indwelling group, serum anti-oxidation indexes CAT and GSH-Px
levels were higher than those of tube-indwelling group, and oxidation indexes MDA and ROS
levels were lower than those of tube-indwelling group. Conclusion: Tubeless percutaneous
nephrolithotomy treatment of upper ureteral calculi has similar curative effect to nephrostomy
tube-indwelling percutaneous nephrolithotomy, but causes less surgical trauma, and is an ideal
operation method. |
