| Summary: | This paper is intended as an introductory review of the concept of drive in Lacan's work. This notion is central to psychoanalytic theory and clinic; therefore, it is always convenient to recall the novelties introduced by Lacan on this topic. From nine brief notes, it is attempted to carry out a preliminary analysis of the concept of drive in Lacan's teaching in order to mark the most important hypotheses to our knowledge as well as the remarkable differences with other psychoanalysts.
