| Summary: | The article researches the impact of specialization and yield capacity of cereals and legumes on the economic efficiency of the functioning of the relevant industry branch in the agrarian enterprises of Ternopil region. It has been proved that the level of specialization in farms of the region as to the specific weight of grain in revenues from the sale of products for 2011–2015 and the efficiency of grain production are sufficiently high. Research has proved that despite the organizational and economic difficulties of the modern type of economy, in the Ternopil region grain production is the main specialization of most agricultural enterprises and is their main source of income. Ways of increase of economic efficiency of th grain production in the region have been suggested.
