Summary: | If it’s true that in the French speaking space highly marked by multilingualism, linguistic diversity and linguistic insecurity, the problem of linguistic representation is more than ever topical as well as the fact of taking into account (the non-French) French-speakers identities in novelistic discourse remains an actual fact. Such a situation rather symbolical of the outlying context, in which the linguistic insecurity prevails, brings about linguistic changes that are noticeable in the French romantic discourse in Acadia, Flanders and Senegal. And, despite prejudices often weighing on the written language, storybook creation shows original French, marked by interbreeding and code interchanges as well as a certain number of semantic and morphologic variables.
