Analysis of the combined effect of polymorphisms interferon genes OAS1, OAS3, PKR, IFNA17 and IFNG in susceptibility to chronic viral hepatitis C

Interferon system plays a key role in the antiviral response. Based on data from the literature, the most dangerous for the development of infectious diseases is the combination of risk alleles of several genes. This study focuses on the analysis of the combined effect of single nucleotide polymorph...

Description
Summary:Interferon system plays a key role in the antiviral response. Based on data from the literature, the most dangerous for the development of infectious diseases is the combination of risk alleles of several genes. This study focuses on the analysis of the combined effect of single nucleotide polymorphisms of interferon system genes OAS1, OAS3, PKR, IFNA17 and IFNG in the predisposition to chronic viral hepatitis C. It has been shown that the accounting of several risk genes improves the prediction of development of this disease.
