Summary: | Synbiotic is a combination of prebiotics and probiotics that can be used as a feed additive that is safe for livestock and produce healthy products for consumers because they do not cause residues. The purpose staties of this study were to examine the synbiotic potential of garlic combined with Lactobacillus acidophilus for broilers. Completed randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatment and 8 replicate and each replicate was filled with 6 broiler chickens aged 7 days with a bodyweight of 218.5 g. The treatments were synbiotic from garlic and Lactobacillus acidophilus, synbiotics preparation garlic in extract form (2 ml, 4 ml), after that we put 100 ml ratio of garlic and Lactobacillus acidophilus 1 ml with the concentration of 108 Cfu. as follows: TO = basal feed; T1 = basal feed + 2 ml synbiotic; T2 = basal feed + 4 ml synbiotic. The parameters observed were body weight gain, pH, digestion rate, organ immunity, blood profile, MDA, SOD, and intestinal microflora. The results showed that the synbiotic treatment significantly (P < 0.05) improved performance, nutrient digestibility, blood profile, antioxidants, and intestinal health. The addition of synbiotics between garlic extract and Lactobacillus acidophilus with a level of 4 ml improves performance, intestinal health, antioxidants and nutrient digestion in broiler chickens.
