The current scientific evidence has corroborated that one way to stimulate cognitive function is through the usual practice of physical activity (PA). It has been shown that the inclusion of play activities such as exergames (EX) during the academic day, helps to increase the amount of daily PA, as well as to improve socialization and cognitive performance. The aim of this research is to review if PA practice through the use of the Nintendo Wii console positively influences on cognition of children and adolescents. In conclusion, the practice of EX, and specifically the Nintendo Wii, can be key in the improvement of cognitive and academic performance.https://doi.org/10.1051/shsconf/20173701003Nintendo Wiicognitive performancesocialization |
