Description
Summary:The newspaper El Norte de Castilla, published at the castilian city of Valladolid since 1856, won a prominent place inside the Spanish press thanks to its vindication of agrarian interests together with the reliability of its information concerning the unstable situation of the grain markets. In our contribution we tackle the period 1860-1890 in the course of which El Norte succeeded in fostering this line of information, and in building up a large network of correspondents, both in Spain and abroad, whose development, geography, contents and frequency of their chronicles are addressed here.
