Description
Summary:This article aims at a critical analysis about the Brazilian narrative, considering aspects of the Os contos de Belazarte, written by Mário de Andrade, striking work that seeks to approach the situation regarding the social and economic crisis which introduces the Brazilian face of the changes that result in the Revolution of 1930. This period of Brazilian political life transformations induces the modernist writers to effectuation of instances of participation as critical outbreak marks situation of underdevelopment of the country. In turn, the social approach contained in these tales is not the cliché of Manichaeism flaunting victory literary of socialism as a system devised. To distance themselves from the object of his narrative, Mário de Andrade never ceases to put in evidence the contradictions inherent to forms of exploitation of labour in a country of dependent economy that has in São Paulo the center of its industrial production. Os contos de Belazarte, therefore, show the unequal aspects of a society in formation to which competes the activity of underlings exploited in its productive capacity.
