Taken as one of the most national among the authors until then, some recurrent aspects can not fail to be noticed when it comes to the life and work of Machado de Assis. The constancy with which the forensic world appears, for example, is one of them. In this sense, the present proposal aims to carry out a study that shows the influence of what it's juridical in the diverse ordenamentos "populated" by this writer. Among a series of contexts that deserve attention, it's possible to see, for example, that he prefers entanglements with the presence of characters almost always privileged by the legal environment who may even be lawyers already constituted. In view of the above and taking into account that in the life of Machado, likewise, numerous coincidences linked to issues of Law are amenable to observation, the study in question will walk in order to contribute to the approach of such topics.
