Numerous studies have revealed a relationship between the prevalence of anaphylaxis in the population and the geographical location (latitude) of the patient. This fact produced the hypothesis of an association between the anaphylaxis frequency reduction due to the higher contents of vitamin D. At the moment the role of vitamin D has not been fully studied in the development of allergic diseases. The effectiveness of additional vitamin D in the prevention and treatment of atopic dermatitis and bronchial asthma remains debatable. The article analyzes the data of possible association between vitamin D and anaphylaxis.
