When these factors have detrimental consequences for your safety, health (physical, psychic or social) and wellbeing, we talk about psychosocial risk factors or sources of work stress. The study of burnout as a psychosocial risk factor is a need aimed at improving the health and quality of life of workers in organizations. However, the latest trends in the study of burnout have taken a turn towards the study of engagement as a positive and optimal aspect of professional development and, in this sense, among the main causes of engagement work resources.
