Summary:The energy transition has been inserted in the development roadmap, as part of the Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement, together with the “just transition”, ratified during the COP 24. In a context of an organic crisis of globalization, aggravated by the impacts of the Covid-19 health crisis, it is relevant to analyse from the critical perspective of international relations and international political economy, what imperatives and opportunities the just energy transition offers to Latin America, from a global and regional perspective.
