The effects of two on slope soil cultivation techniques on its structural state were studied with the help of field measurements. The two compared techniques are : Soil turning over with a mechanically hauled single mold-board plough, and the no superficial turning over with animal hauled digger moldboard plough. The structural state was characterized by the resistance to nid penetration, the apparent dry specifie weight and the superficial soil crumbling index. The results showed a porous state following the turning over cultivation characterized by high crumbling indexes when speeding up during the restarting operations. The superficial cultivation allows the lowest crumbling indexes for the whole chain. But, the cultivated area was characterized by a more compacted soil.http://www.tropicultura.org/text/v11n4/147.pdfSoil cultivation techniquesSlopy fields
