At the beginning of the XX-th century, Bukovina represented a divers and effervescent socio-cultural land, in which the intellectuals from different nationalities have found a favorable climate of manifestation for their humanist ideas and activities. It was in this context that a very representative person of the Polish community, historian, philologist, expert in law, Emil Biedrzycki (1890-1975), carry on his activity. The authors, didn’t want to approach the work of E. Biedrzycki from a linguistic point of view; they tried to outline his work and him complex personality from at list 3 directions (teacher, historian, philologist). Through this lines, we just want to remind to the generations who followed, at 30 years from his death, his reach activity that he has carried on, with the purpose to reinforce the intercultural links between Poles and Romanians.
