Summary:The Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (GDQM) is an alternative method to direct solution of differential equations on the field of engineering and science. In this study, DQEM which is a new version of GDQM, is presented and applied to static analysis of mechanical elements. In the previous studies, the physical system is considered as a single element. In this method, analyzed system is divided into elements as in the Finite Element Method. The method has all of the advantages of GDQM and is an effective method with the easy programmability and short computational time. The method considered in details and with the given numerical examples, it is shown that the results are in good agreement with the pervious studies.
