Description
Summary:This article formulates a reflection on networks that produce senses and on human networks through the paradigm of the track and the “detective” technique as a heuristic method for studying online worlds. More precisely, based on the notions of track and index discussed by several authors, a methodological proposition will be suggested to examine digital memes, as well as sense and human networks that constitute them. In this context, meme is understood in its double sense : as a track of cultural production and as a particular Web phenomenon specific to some online communities, that means as well as a “sign” from a culture and as a cultural production recognized through its own characteristics peculiar to the online worlds.
